NASM is an association of approximately 615 schools of music, primarily at the collegiate level, but also including postsecondary non-degree-granting schools of music. Southern Association of Colleges and Schools. Judson is an accredited college with The Commission on Colleges (COC) of the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools. COC is the recognized regional accrediting body in the eleven U.S. Southern states (Alabama, Florida, Georgia, Kentucky, Louisiana, Mississippi, North Carolina, South Carolina, Tennessee, Texas and Virginia) and in Latin America for those institutions of higher education that award associate, baccalaureate, master's or doctoral degrees. Founded in 1976 with 38 members, the Council for Christian Colleges and Universities (CCCU) is an international higher education association of Christian colleges and universities. This nonprofit organization, headquartered in Washington D.C., now boasts 105 members in North America and 75 affiliate institutions in 24 countries.
CCCU's mission is to "advance the cause of Christ-centered higher education and to help our institutions transform lives by faithfully relating scholarship and service to biblical truth."

Since 1976, the National Association of Independent Colleges and Universities has served as the unified national voice of independent higher education and represents those private institutions on policy issues with the federal government, such as those affecting student aid, taxation and government regulation. NAICU has nearly 1,000 members nationwide.

The Women's College Coalition (WCC) is an association of women's colleges and universities in the United States and Canada whose primary mission is the education and advancement of women.
Formed in 1972, the Coalition collects and analyzes information relating to the education of women and gender equality in education. The WCC is also concerned with the recruitment and retention of women in certain fields of study, and the development of women's leadership. The WCC supports women's education to a variety of government and public organizations and institutions, including the media.

The Alabama Association of Independent Colleges and Universities (AAICU) is committed to "promoting and protecting the interests of independent higher education in Alabama and overseeing scholarship fundraising efforts for students attending each of its fourteen member schools."
First founded in 1956 to benefit both students and member institutions through fundraising activities, AAICU merged with The Council for Advancement of Private Colleges in Alabama (CAPCA) under the single name AAICU in 2006.

Developed, in part, by the National Association of Independent Colleges and Universities (NAICU) in 2006, the University and College Accountability Network (U-CAN) was designed to make easily understandable consumer-friendly information on individual private colleges and universities available to prospective students and their families online.
