Your Admission
As you begin the admission process for Judson College, notice that there are several types of admission.

  • Regular Admission
  • Conditional Admission
  • Re-Admission
  • Early Acceptance
  • Dual Enrollment / Dual Credit OR
  • Other, or Special
  • Distance Learning

REGULAR ADMISSION
This admission includes students who have met all admission requirements.

CONDITIONAL ADMISSION
This admission includes students who show academic promise but are lacking the necessary grade point average or ACT score, show weaknesses in certain subject areas or are coming from an unaccredited school. When admitted conditionally, you will:

  • Be limited to an academic load of 13 credit hours during the first semester.
  • Maintain a 2.0 or better GPA.

RE-ADMISSION
If you have attended Judson but were not registered in the previous semester (excluding Short Term), you must re-apply through the Admissions Office.

EARLY ACCEPTANCE
If you began your college studies after your junior year of high school, you could qualify to be admitted under early acceptance. BUT, most students granted "early acceptance" possess unusual academic promise.

DUAL ENROLLMENT/DUAL CREDIT
We realize many of you high school seniors desire to get a kick-start on your college careers... Therefore, you can attend class at Judson College and receive college credit for courses that are also suitable for your high school. But, make sure you fall under our conditions first. You must:

  1. Be in grade 12.
  2. Be recommended by your high school principal and/or guidance counselor.
  3. Have a grade point average of 3.0. AND
  4. Exhibit both academic readiness and social maturity, as indicated by your principal.

* Eleventh graders may be admitted to the program in exceptional cases.

SPECIAL
If you are taking a course or courses but not seeking a degree at Judson College, you are classified as a Special student. To qualify you should be either:

  • An adult (at least twenty years of age) showing academic promise,
  • A high school student enrolled in special programs,
  • A transient student seeking additional educational certification or recertification, OR
  • Any other taking personal interest courses.
