HISTORY
As the nation's fifth oldest women's college, Judson was founded in 1838 by Baptists in Marion to educate young women in a Christian environment. The independent, liberal arts college was named for Ann Hasseltine Judson, America's first female foreign missionary, and remains affiliated with the Alabama Baptist State Convention. LOCATION
The Judson College campus is found on 105 pristine acres in Marion, Alabama which is located in the west central part of the state. The college is a short drive from Tuscaloosa, Montgomery, and Birmingham and is within easy driving distance of Atlanta, Ga.; Nashville, Tenn.; Mobile, Ala.; and Jackson, Miss.
